I am currently pursuing a PhD in Accounting at London Business School with an expected graduation in summer 2015. My dissertation supervisor is Prof. Scott Richardson.

Drawing on several years of investment banking experience, I focus on research topics at the intersection of accounting and financial economics. For example, I am interested in understanding the role of accounting and macroeconomic information in fundamental analysis and securities pricing. I am also interested in examining the economic and capital market consequences of institutions (e.g., disclosure, regulation, and contracting).

Previously, I worked in New York and London in investment banking. I was at UBS Investment Bank (formerly SBC Warburg) from 1999 to 2009, most recently as Executive Director in New York. I was responsible for advising senior managers and board members of technology, software and services companies on capital raisings and mergers and acquisitions. My clients included Accenture, BAE Systems, Dell, IBM, Motorola, Infosys, and Xerox, among others.

I hold an MRes degree in Accounting and Finance from London Business School (2012), an MSc (distinction) in International Accounting and Finance from London School of Economics (1999), and an MBA (honours) from Lahore University of Management Sciences (1997). I also hold the professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
